We have brought together a team of local and legendary creatives to create a holiday experience that is both nostalgic and modern, vibrant and subtle, artsy and tropical, relaxed and considered. But mostly, The Sunseeker is shaped by the lived experiences of the guests that stay with us and the many beautiful people that work here who love it and treat you as family and The Sunseeker as their own home.

A nod to a life well-travelled, The Sunseeker has been inspired by some of our favourite destinations around the world. Places that are stylish, effortless and pleasurable - where the fanfare is minimal and the quality is memorable. The Sunseeker is a true coming together of what makes this town and area so great – a relaxed beachside town that’s full to the brim with vibrant, inspiring and imaginative creatives, artists, makers and connectors.

Where you can ...

Discover our enchanting tropical garden hideaway and as you relax into Byron’s best kept secret. Your kids are welcome and run off to the playground giving you the time to enjoy our range of adult indulgences. Sink into in our library where you’ll find over 100 books specifically curated by Lora Ward of Good Publishings or weave your way along the tree-lined boardwalk to poolside lounging. Indulge in one of our carefully considered cocktails designed by local mixologist Pete Windrim as you dive deep into the Sounds of The Sunseeker exclusively curated by the team at Playlister.fm, who famously create the tunes for the likes of Chateau Marmont and The Standard Hotel.

TAKE AWAY

Open daily serving coffee from one of the most beloved brands in the coffee industry - Coffee Supreme – as well as a small but perfect selection of pastries and mini baguettes.
Take Away Hours: 7 days, 7am-11am

THE LIBRARY

Sink into our library as you browse through our specially curated selection of books on culture, art, architecture and of course surfing! The library is rich with an eclectic mix of both custom and designer pieces to feed your 80’s holiday nostalgia, including a chunky brick fireplace that utilised bricks that we pulled out from other parts of the motel in the renovation.
Library Hours: 7 days, 9am-5pm

POOL, BAR, CABANA & FIRE PIT

Spend the day at our classic kidney shaped, advanced mineral pool (heated in winter), under an umbrella on our luxuriously plush daybeds. Order specialty cocktails and poolside bites at the breezy Tiki-Meets-Tropical-Brutalist-Bar (it’s a thing at The Sunseeker!). Our poolside gathering place for everything from cabana drinks, creative meetings to laid-back lounging. Serving delicious cocktails, biodynamic wine, craft beer, paired with a small selection of bar snacks. Help yourself to our crisp filtered water station with chilled, ambient or sparkling water. When the day turns to dusk, come together over music and a nightcap around our firepit.

BIKES & BOARDS

Please enquire about our range of surfboards as well as push and electric bikes available for rent to enjoy and explore the restaurants, shops and beaches.

PLAYGROUND

The kids can grab a complimentary scooter and cruise around the complex, hang at the nature inspired playground, jump on the trampoline or shoot some hoops at the basketball ring giving you more time to relax. They can also explore our educational planter boxes and Subpods™ which grow all of the special plants and garnish for our cocktails and a special beehive from our friends at Flow® where your kids can tap honey straight from the hive without opening it or disturbing the bees.

LAUNDRY

No more outrageous hotel laundry fees! A communal and complimentary laundry is available for bits and pieces, along with Australian made eco-laundry detergent, ZeroCo.
